Sok Lin is a beautiful soul that lives in a village North of Kampot. Sok Lin is deaf, cannot talk, write or read, and yet Sok Lin has an amazing eye and enthusiasm for photography.
Sok Lin borrowed a camera from a project Cambodia volunteer and took some pictures that were amazing.
In view of Soks Lins' talent we have decided to help Sok Lin by providing him with a camera that he can take pictures that will show everyday life in Cambodian village life.
To help raise much needed money for Sok Lin we will be holding exhibitions with the photographs and selling the framed prints and greeting cards.
Sok Lin has 2 brothers and 1 sister in which 2 are also deaf and cannot talk and 1 is downs syndrome. We have had a medical assessment done on the children and unfortunately Sok Lin will never be able to hear or talk. We are hoping that the younger children will be able to be helped before it is too late. We are now trying to find the best way forward for Sok Lin to learn sign language so that he can at least communicate with people.
Their father died at the start of 2017 and the family is in dire need of help. I hope and pray that we can help them.
